We collect personal data when you suscribe to our newsletter, and also when you fill out a registration form for our events, such as BLAXPO. Such personal information is used to process your registration, payments when applicable, as well as for matching purposes with our exhibitors.

Four Brown Girls will not sell candidates personal information.

Whenever a candidate or exhibitor completes an intake form on our website, the data is received by us and is also shared with our service providers in order to feed the match algorithm which allows us to provide the best match for our candidates.

Our service providers are Hopin, Typeform, Amazon Web Services & Google Cloud Platform, and they all have their distinctive Privacy policies which can found directly on their websites. Our service providers are compliant with industry standards and all data shared with them is encrypted in transit and at rest when it reaches their servers. Only the data that is relevant to the matching process is stored.

Candidates answers with regards demographic and ethnicity may be anonymised and used for statistical purposes in post-event case studies.

Personal information is stored and processed in Canada as well as in any country our service providers have offices.

We have put in place appropriate technical and organizational security measures to prevent your personal information from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed.

In addition, we limit access to your personal information to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal information on our instructions. That said, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We will only retain your personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, including for satisfying any legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or reporting requirements. We may retain your personal information for a longer period in the event of a complaint, if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation in respect to our relationship with you, or as required or permitted by applicable law.

To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or other requirements.

Under certain circumstances and in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, you are entitled to :
